Humanity Buried in Small Coffins

“We targeted school because army targets our families. We want them to feel our pain” says the self proclaimed Talibani Jihadis.

Tuesday morning saw bullets being pumped out on random by Tehreek-e-Taliban gunmen in an army run school in Peshawar and more than 100 innocent lives have been lost in this ego war.

Reason for the brutality - The so-called Jihadis wanted to take revenge against the Pakistani army and also set up a strict Islamic governance.

Question - How can you claim to follow strict Islam by disrespecting your own God? No Quran, Bhagwat Geeta or Bible preaches that you can attain heaven by sacrificing other lives.

It is a work of some misunderstood narrow-minded nincompoops that gives rise to these anti-social terrorist groups who wants nothing but to rule with power hiding behind the veil of impressing God Allah.

These terrorists were blinded to wage a war to a great extent with the Pakistani army that they did not spare killing even women and kids...In this case they have attacked the country that they belong to..."Jis thaali mein khaate hai, usi thaali mein chedd kiya hai"

I feel that “you people are constantly wrestling with your conscience so much that you decide not to harm the smaller kids but kill the older kids...Seriously? I fail to understand your choice. If at all you wanted to take revenge with the army, you should have fought it out with them like true MEN and not brutally target the kids and families of these army men"

Unfortunately, they have accomplished their mission of deeply hurting the army men by killing their kids. And for those whose kids have come out alive out of this massacre, the little minds have been scarred permanently witnessing this brutality.

High time the Pakistani Government stop cradling these terrorist groups secretly, lest they screw up their own country. Stop hiding...own up...you still have time to eradicate the epidemic of Terrorism.

A Journey of a RAPIST - From Human Kids to Kids of Speechless Species

Just as my helplessness and anger has not cooled down by the sudden rise in the rape cases in the country at an alarming, there strikes another case – only this time the victim is a child…but not of human. Everyday we get to hear/read incidents about little kids being at the receiving end of the sexual greed of a human monster.

Being a dog lover, this article has made me realize that humans have crossed their limits and nobody is safe; let alone a girl child. I was reading the newspaper and came across this article in Mumbai Mirror – 27th March 2014.

This young ‘rapist’ in his drunken and perve state…in a broad daylight…tried luring a 2-month old stray puppy with food to a deserted corner of a road and raped it. Localities were alarmed by the puppy’s scream in pain and managed to catch the guy and bash him up.

The badly injured puppy’s justice doesn’t end here.

The perve was taken to the police station, but the “so-called oath taking protectors – POLICE” refused to take the case seriously and asked the localities to let it go.  The same sexually creepy guy had supposedly tried to rape another dog few months back but could not be nabbed.

Our stupid politicians claim that girls in our country are getting raped because they wear mini skirts and lure guys to rape them. But the li’l puppy was wearing no revealing outfit to arouse the maniac (in the pic) to rape it (if only we could call it that way and give punishment to the accused equivalent to raping a human).

An eye opener to the legal body of our country that how their lenient and careless approach to this heinous crime has made the stupids so used to raping girls/kids that they have stooped down a level further to raping animals.

High time they learn from Saudi Arabia (law of public beheading in one stroke) or China (Castration or death sentence by single bullet fired at the spinal chord joining the neck) or North Korea (shooting squad practicing by firing a gunshot at a vital organ that usually kills the subject relatively quickly) or even Afghanistan (hanging the person to death and death by a firing squad). Enough of hiding behind the veil of democracy and contributing to the crime.

Taking cue from the slogan “Jaago Grahak Jaago”, I would like to have a shout out saying  “Jaago Desh Rakshkon Jaago”

Deserving Candidates for Better Respect

Jawans

During my return from my Gareeb budgeted Backpacking trip from Rajasthan, I took the Suryanagri Express from Jodhpur. With Rajasthan having an Indo-Pak border, it was shocking to see BSF Jawans travelling near the entrance and filthy toilets in the train trying to adjust to the erratic timing of arrival (4.00 am), catching up on sleep, heavy luggage trunks and pathetically cold weather. All they had on them were their uniforms but none were complaining. A big salute to them. (I almost died of the cold weather in spite of a reserved berth, leather jacket and a woolen blanket).

With bachpan se soft corner for the Military & para-military Jawans, it was an uneasy feeling to see the real heroes of our country travelling near stinking toilets with no reserved berths for resting. If a certain Bollywood hero was to travel by train, half the bogie would make space for him and would even fan them to sleep claiming to be their die-hard fan (chamcha).

Cliched it might sound but if the real heroes can sacrifice their lives for us, I can sacrifice my berth for them. I requested the Ticket Checker (TC) that incase any of the Jawans wants to sleep, they can take my berth and I shall manage. But few minutes later, a random civilian started settling down on my seat. On checking with him he said he was not an army Jawan and the TC had allotted him the seat. Aata Maajhi Satakli!!!

When the TC was brought back to the scene of confusion this is what he had to say:
Me: Mein ne aapko mera seat un army waale ko deneko kaha tha kyunki who log toilets ke yahan pe baithke travel kar rahe hai. Koi civilian ke liye mein apna reserved seat kyun chodun? (I had told you to allot my seat to those army people coz they are sitting near the toilets. Why should I leave my reserved berth for a civilian?)

Brainless TC: Aap hi ne toh kaha tha apna seat allot karne ke liye. Aur kya farak padta hai koi army ke bande ko de ya aur kisiko? Aapko unke bare mein sochne ki zarurat nahi hai. Bahut berths hai unke liye. (You only told me to allot this seat. What difference does it make if the seat is allotted to an army Jawan or anybody else? You don’t have to worry about them. Plenty of berths are available for them)

{Mr. TC is that why they were travelling in such pitiable condition? Coz I could not see any comfortable berth around them to rest on}

On arguing further, he walked towards the Jawans and shouted “arey aap logon mein se koi free hai kya? Chalo udhar. Ek berth hai. Wahan sona hai”. He didn’t fail to make me feel disgusted about him. But it dosent matter. The purpose was achieved and atleast one Jawan had a peaceful sleep.

Sincere request to the Indian Railways that please have a special bogie for the Jawans in all the trains esp. in crucial places where they need to travel frequently to and also educate the brainless Ticket Incharges to be little more kind towards the people who are out there fighting for our safety. I also request the passengers to help the Jawans by providing them at least moral support (if not your seats) rather than complaining that they are blocking your way to Nirvana in the loo.

Sheru Chala Sher Khan Ban ne

Yesterday there was an article in the newspaper about the shooting of Sohail Khan's movie 'Sher Khan' being postponed. The film has Salman Khan and a tiger playing a lead role. Salman watched the movie 'Life of Pi' and was so impressed with the tiger in it that he wants his sher to be closely resembling to the one in LoP.

Sheru was reading the newspaper and trying to flip the pages but in turn ended up pawing the paper to shredded pieces. After much efforts he came to the page carrying the article and understood that the Sohail Khan is looking out for a talented Sher in his upcoming movie. And BLINK!!! Dimag ki batti jali! I will also try auditioning for the movie...he thought.

Immediately a series of impulsive activities followed-
Ran to bathroom > dipped himself in the water > rolled around on the bed to wipe himself (thereby spoiling my bed sheet as he couldn't find a towel. Need to teach somebody civilized behavior) > pushed the talcum power bottle on the floor and spreading the powder all over the room > rolled over the powder again, and > VOILA!!! All ready for a photo shoot session with me as the by-default camera(wo)man.

Anjaana Anjaani...Ki Kahani

"Phew! 1 more kilometer to go for the marathon to end. Let me check out some cute guy while running so that my attention will be diverted from this painfully long 1 km" I though while gasping for breath while running. I did not want to give up coz I was secretly competing with an elderly colleague of mine and my ego did not permit me to lag behind :)

Finally the painfully long 10 kms marathon came to an end. We assembled back to the place from where we started, had refreshments and started for our journey back home.

Me: RICKSHAW! Kurla station chaloge?
Rickwalla 1: Nahi

Me: Kurla station chaloge?
Rickwalla 2: Shakes his head in negative and leaves (What an Arse?)

Me (after crossing the road to the other side): Kurla station?
Rickwalla 3: Nahi Madam

"Excuse me. To go to Kurla station, do i have to take a rickshaw from here?" asked a guy wearing a t-shirt with his company logo. No dude. I am doing Kathakali here... I thought to myself slightly irritated with his stupid question. But i politely said yes to him...all thanks to manners taught to me in school.

Finally we hailed a rickshaw to Kurla. "Hi. I am Vikram (name changed). I am working for Tata Motors. What about you?"the once upon a time irritating guy introduced himself. I too introduced myself and we instantly got some bakra to pakaofy each other. We got down at Kurla station, paid the rick guy and started walking towards the station. Generally I am not very chatty with strangers and give big time attitude to talk if they are the first ones to strike the conversation with me. But with Vikram and I belonging to the same Tata Group helped in breaking the ice with an added advantage of the guy being easy to talk to.

Being a public holiday, I underestimated Mumbaikars to be sleeping in their houses. But the station was crowded to the fullest. We were talking about our work profiles, work locations, blah blah blah...and didnt notice the already almost approached train. As usual people started fighting to get into the already crowded train. There was no time for me to run towards the far-off ladies compartment.

"There is no way I am getting into this train" I said knowing that the next arriving trains are gonna be equally crowded and wont make much difference. And then something unexpected happened before i could even react. Vikram held my hand firmly, pushed aside the crowd somehow and made way for me to get into the train safely. Once inside the train, throughout the journey he shielded me from the crowd so that nobody touched me or misbehaved. He didn't care about his wallet being picked or bothered about his injured back just so that I was safe. It was time for me to get down. Again he made way through the crowd for me to get down safely.

I am used to such gentlemanly behavior from my brothers and friends but that coming from a compete stranger whom I am never going to meet again ever bowled me completely. Fida over your Chivalry stranger. And thanks for the care.

Weekend meet-up with Chandrooo

Its Friday today. The most loved day of the week. The day went off superb. Had fun in office, had Subway sandwhich for lunch (which I am currently addicted to), my report got approved, and finally in the evening met up Chandrooo aka Mahalakshmi. at Inorbit Mall.

It is always fun to catch up with your college friends and nobody can fill up that space of happiness what with all the fun filled times we had during college days.

Well atleast I tried to have fun ;) It gets a lil difficult for a person like me to bunk lectures and go out when your group comprises of you (interested in doing only keedas), college topper (Chandrooo), Class CR (Naayeee aka Gayatri) and an above average student (scholar for a student like me :)) - Prachi. Out of the 4 gang members, only me and Chandrooo are the priviledged ones of being single so we decided to catch up today. Chandrooo has shifted to a different city and had come down for Diwali.

It was fun to recollect the old times, which ofcourse my dear friend had to help me recollect all thanks to my short term memory loss. We talked about our psycho professors, Gayatri's 'Naaaye', Lunch @ Rangoli, and ofcourse the hot topic for girls our age - How to face/avoid marriage :).

What's funny was Chandrooo is much more chilled out not. No more the righteous iyer girl that i knew who would scold me for my stupid keedas. Surprising pointers about Chandrooo which will make any SIES 2006 BMS batch students faint for a moment:
  • Chandroo has gone clubbing (but for an office party) and even won a prize for her dancing skills:)
  • She has read Mills & Boons in 10th std itself
  • She uses the FUCK word often off late
  • She corrected me with the middle finger signage
  • She even said that inter-caste marriages are not bad :)
But the best part is it was fun meeting her. Had fun Chandrooo. Your story about how you were baptized as Chandroo will follow soon.

Ye Dosti Hum Nahi TodenGAY!!!

In one of my earlier posts, I had mentioned about Sheru's two best friends - Chantu & Bantu. Sheru's life history is incomplete without the mention of these 2 :)

Let's meet those two cartoons.

While in this pic, Chantu looks chatty and Bantu-the quiet one. Looks can are deceptive.

Chantu is the quiet, intelligent and always-on-alert dog. He is the peacemaker when Sheru & Bantu get into a        paws-claws fight. He instinctively knows when his friends are in trouble and need help. Whether its babysitting Sheru in our absence or ensuring that Sheru doesn't get himself into unnecessary trouble, he can be counted on to get the job done. A matured boy in the company of immature buffoons :)

Bantu is exactly the opposite Chantu and very much like Sheru (the buffoon gang). He is the palyful, innocent, careless pup who always gets himself into trouble or does some masti with Sheru and puts tha blame on Chantu :)

But these 3 together make an awesome threesome gang.

Death as a Selfish Motto

The situation in Mumbai today is tensed with the critical condition of Balasaheb Thackeray. The 86 year old Shiv Sena chief is struggling for his life (as claimed by the media). However, there are also rumours that he has already passed away on 14th Nov. While the situation is not a happy one, what is even more sad is the mentality of people.

People are hoping that he dies on a Monday so that they don't have to come to office on Monday and enjoy a long weekend at the cost of someone's death. People were also happy today because they got to go home early from office today as Mumbai started closing down with a fear of ruckus incase of his death.

It is disgusting that for a mere one-day leave, people are betting or hoping for his death on a particular day and even planning out their vacations. The same set of people make a hulla out of a death in their family without realizing that the person for whom they are discussing death is somebody's relative - somebody's Father, Brother, Leader, Inspiration, Uncle, etc.

HYPOCRACY!!!

Though I not a great fan of politics and people dealing with it, it is appalling that people have stooped down to the maximum and have turned into Selfish Machines.

When a surprise visitor visits

It was Saturday evening and i could see that Sheru was lost in deep thoughts. Jhol hai boss. Big problem awaited.

Was waiting for him to come out from his trance mode and out with his keeda running inside his head.

Finally he came to me with his proposal of going out and getting wet in the rains with next day being Sunday. Since it had been a long time since i got drenched in rain purposely, the idea seemed exciting to me. So we planned to go to the Worli Sealink the next day. Our hero was already prepared with his red polka dotted shorts for his rendezvous with rain 2012.

Sunday came. We got early so that we could get ready and leave by 11.00am. Suddenly the door bell rang and We had a surprise visitor (for an overnight stay)!!!! a family friend from Timbuktoo. Worst part was that the visitor was pesky and irritating. What can i say more? All hell broke loose.

This visitor saw our cute lil cat (he thought it was a cat - starting point of irritation for Sheru :) and started playing around with Sheru who just wasn't in the mood as our plan got cancelled coz' of the visit. But still Sheru relented and tried playing with the him. But the guy started poking and tickling Sheru for fun. And the temperature had already shot up to cool him down.

Sheru growled stereoscopically (if there is any such word) popped out his tongue as if to say "Get lost you moron".

And boy the look on the visitor's face was worth seeing when he realised that all this while he was messing around with a Lion :)

A dash of mango infusion into my body

Well even though the much awaited MANGO season has almost come to an end, I am still receiving good, ripe Alphonso mangoes (my fav) all thanks to my sis-in-law's dad.

Today again was a special day but with a difference. I prefer having mangoes with spoon (Sophistication!!!) with some Chaat Masala ka tadka. But this time i decided to make mango smoothie.

I put da cut mango pieces into a blender and topped it with huge scoops of fresh cream, 12-13 drops of vanilla essence and ice cubes and blended it. Voila!!!

Amazing Mango smoothie (unexpected for it to turn out well :)) was ready in 5 mins. Served it with mango pieces on top and it just melted into my mouth.

Must try before all the mangoes in this earth vanishes till next year.

MANGO truly da king of fruits.
(Pic for representation purpose only. Dhapofied from a different source :)P)

Bomb Scare

Yesterday Sheru had called over his friends for a niteout and had ORDERED me to make his fav. Rajma Masala. As usual he overate it went off to sleep.

Having a past of farting after overeating, the history repeated itself. Sheru was in sound sleep and suddenly without realizing he gave out a small sound. The sound woke him up. With only one eye open, he looked around the room to see where the sound came from. And when he couldn't see anything, his highness went off to sleep again. And this time, a bomb exploded.

Sheru got so scared with his own fart sound that he tightly closed his ears with his paw. Look here;

His friends are still in state of shock. And Sheru is in sulking mode after I had a hearty laugh. :)

Fruit salad with a twist

Being at par with a Michelin starred chef in terms of cooking :) i tried my hand at making fruit salad with ice cream and mint and for the first time i was bowled over by my own creation.

Being choosy about food, i was prejudiced about certain fruits without even tasting them. So i thought this is a nice way of tasting them with ice cream and mint as a Savior in case i don't find a particular fruit interesting.

So I put all the diced fruits into a bowl and topped it with strawberry ice-cream generously and sprinkled powdered mint in the end. Easy way is to powder Polo mint :)

This made the less tolerable fruits edible with some cooling and minty effect in your mouth. Yummmm!!! You can also variate it adding honey on top or chocolate sauce on top of the ice cream.

Pain point: skinning and dicing the fruits. Otherwise its a five mins job and voila u have a health and tasty fruit salad ready for snacks or breakfast or post-dinner desert.

Heart Melt

When I had first got Sheru home from the jungle, I really didn't know what to expect or how to react. He was frail, scared, hungry and lost in the jungle. Since we didn't keep non veg at home. I just hoped I could be able to bottle feed this tiny creature to satiate his hunger pangs but was unsure if he would be even remotely interested in smelling the milk forget even actually drinking it. I thought of giving it a try! And Voila it took only few seconds for the bottle to get empty. He indeed was very hungry.

Even today he loves his bottle. Its a sight to watch him drink milk. While drinking he will stare up at you with his big eyes that will melt your heart!

Shakechilli's brain works faster than a computer

Now that Sheru has walked the red carpet for PETA, he has already started dreaming of becoming a star.

Sunday, 8 Jan 2012: Sheru has had a tub full of chicken and off for an afternoon nap.

He is dreaming of a press conference with him being the center of attraction.

And giving flying kisses to the girls present there. Some habits never go away so easily especially being a casanova inspite of being an animal that too just a 1.5 yr old cub.

Its evening time. He has got up from his sleep and now wants to see himself and the press conference. He is getting restless and pestering me to switch on the TV. Shakechilli...

Sheru walks the red carpet for PETA

Sheru walking the red carpet for the PETA awards.

The dress code for the event was dinner jacket. But as usual hez 1ce again not followed the protocol of the event and strutting in naked and feeling proud bout it (the look on his face says it all). :)

Atithi Devo Bhava! Kasab is God...

26/11 was a remarkable day in the Indian history. Terrorists came to India for an internship after undergoing an intensive training in Pakistan. They very well executed their training. As a mark of respect to the martyrs let’s wish a very happy 3rd anniversary to the lone surviving terrorist in the battle - Ajmal Amir Kasab. The Indian Govt. has left no stones unturned to give a princely treatment to our country’s most favourite guest.

Firstly a special cell in Arthur Road jail worth Rs. 8 cr. was constructed just for him which was personally supervised by then home minister Jayant Patil. Another Rs 1.5 crore was spent on building a special prison ward inside J J Hospital. WTF!!! Our friend Mr. (then Union home minister) P Chidambaram too was personally monitoring the situation, particularly the security detail for Kasab. He was quoted as saying "Since we were able to catch Kasab alive, we were able to establish that he belonged to Pakistan. Given that, we are really not concerned about the cost.” Ya dude. Because you must not be knowing the pain of working hard and then paying taxes for safeguarding our friend from Pakistan. Athiti Devo Bhava!!!

And since our friend didn’t feel secure in the company of our Paandu Maamas, special Indo-Tibetan Border Police force was deployed for his security who coughs up a bill of around Rs 3.5 lakh per day. I am sure even our PM Mr. Manmohan Singh would be having cheaper security guards. And Oh ya how can I forget a secure chauffer-driver vehicle which incurs a cost of Rs. 1.5 cr.

Our guest is so secure that even if a rocket is launched nothing will happen to the cell where Kasab resides. Good care is taken in terms of food and medicines. Special arrangements of dry fruits and fruits are done during Ramzan fasting. If he falls ill, a team of specialist doctors is available for examining him on a daily basis to ensured that he maintains good health.

So friends lets join our hands and work hard so that we can earn more money and pay more taxes to the Indian Govt. as our Govt. is poor and cant keep up with the demands of our guests. So we need to contribute in the form of taxes. Tally-Ho

The Ultimate Fart Machine

The day when Sheru blurted out...

He is an ultimate foodie and that too a super fan of chicken. One day me and my friend planned to make butter chicken as my parents were out of town. Sheru smelled the chicken from distance and rushed towards us shooting us an expecting look for the chicken. He totally forgot that he had a stomach upset due to overeating the previous day.

So we decided that our silly friend Sheru is not gonna get a single chicken piece from our share. But being really good at making sulking faces (emotional blackmailing), he managed to get what he wanted - a king-size share of the butter chicken dish. So after a bout of overeating again he went off to sleep like a kumbhakaran.

And while in deep sleep...suddenly he farted...and boy it was so loud that he got up from his slumber and got scared to death from his own fart. And when he realised his blunder, this was his embarrassed look on his face (see right). Ha ha ha...

Meet chota packet bada dhamaka

Hi All. Allow me the pleasure of introducing my friend - Sheru. This is one guy who is cute, charming, adorable, naughty, and a prankster. He talks, emotes and can dance like any normal humanbeing. Here is what he has to say about himself:

"bbfvdguyretg;lghfdsdfsasjhasgdkjhyuyrsjdbfuhystgdhvsfhsdf hgfjhgasdaffcdsjikughfbvnmbnfvg"

That's him trying to type his own story :) Since you are unable to decode what he is trying to say, he says:

"Growlllll... Hi my fans (talk about modesty). I am Sheru. I love eating chicken (dat's all he dreams about). I have a girlfriend & a boyfriend. Before you take me wrong about my sexuality, I am straight and have a girlfriend too who can get a li'l boring with her barking sometimes as she is a bulldog breed ka bitch. I am just good friends with my boyfriend & girlfriend (diplomacy!!! right?). I prefer referring to them like that as they have very lousy names. My best friends are Chantu & Bantu. I also befriended a baby cow 'Spiky'. Anyways I am signing off now. See you next time. Hasta La Vista sweeties. Growllll...

The Ultimate Poem of Love

I tried my hand for the first time in writing a poem and didnt know I was so good at it. I am so happy to share it with you.

The hypothetical situation is that I am in love with this guy who is going away from me only to be united by time.

Life is a mysterious game,
Because it never stays the same.
Today destiny is slipping away my life and love,
From my hand like an ill-fitted glove.
I pray to the almighty,
For his safety and security.
May you always be full of life and stay safe,
I will be your Kareena, you be my Saif.

Hope you liked it. Do let me know your views on this :)

Not-so Fitness Freak Ganesha

A very cute joke shared by my friend Sneha which I wanted to share with my readers. See below:

Parvarti: Gampu baby, you should start gymming now
Ganpati: I'm not fat Mom, I'm pleasantly plump
Parvati: Ya, but you could be fitter like your dad (Shiva)
Ganpati: Not again Mom! and its ok...I charm people anyway
Parvati: That you do, honey!Love you baby
Ganpati: Love you too Mom. Miss me for 10 days...I am off for a food festival, interacting with friends, fans and follwers! And Oh ya Mom...If Hanuman comes with another gym membership offer for me, tell him 'NOT INTERESTED'

GANPATI BAPPA MORYA!!!

P.S. Thanks Sneha!!!
